Profile

Georgia Wittmaack M.A. studied Art History and Philosophy at the University of Vienna, and also Design and Theory of Architectural Form at the Academy of Fine Arts.

After her degree, she worked in Paris for 15 years as a print designer, consultant and stylist for the creative sectors of international enterprises. Equally, she had consultancy contracts in New York and Tokyo, and projects in Korea, Japan, Indonesia, India and China.

She raised a family in Munich. After gaining practical experience in the renovation of old houses with authentic materials, what had been a hobby became a job with the founding of the project and planning office Habitarte*, with its own showroom in Nymphenburg.

She specialises in historic French building materials: open fireplaces, wooden and stone floors, fountains and other garden objects.

She works in co-operation with others for the protection of historical monuments, and also with the Bayerische Schlösser- u. Seenverwaltung.

She also has run exhibitions at international trade fairs, as well as having contributed to numerous publications and articles. In preparation: Illustrated book, provisio-
nally titled 'Vintage Architecture'©.
